The Faculty of Arts is one of the oldest in Akaki Tsereteli State University.
The Faculty of Arts is aimed at providing its students the best conditions to enable them to be educated based on the traditions, complying with contemporary and long-term standards, at providing for the correspondence of the processes of teaching and research.
The Faculty has various language clubs, led by respective departments. Alongside with improving general language proficiency, language clubs acquaint students with the history and culture of respective countries. The Faculty publishes its own scientific journal.
Established in 1992, there is the Dialectology Research Institute at the Faculty of Arts. It is aimed at studying Kartvelian dialects, Kartvelian folklore, ethnology and customs.
The Faculty employs 15 full professors, 49 associate professors, and 34 assistant-professors.
